I didn’t start as a lawyer. After more than twenty-three years in mortgage banking, I decided to change my life and earn a law degree. That meant raising two teenagers, working full time, and attending law school at night. I set a four-year timeline and finished on schedule. That determination still drives how I practice today.
Since becoming licensed in 2019, I have tried twenty-seven jury trials across municipal, juvenile, misdemeanor, felony, and civil district courts. My caseload now exceeds more than 1,200 matters handled from start to finish. Murder charges, sexual assault cases, protective orders, custody litigation, CPS removals, and everything in between — I’ve been there and I don’t shy away from difficult facts or tough courts.
Real-world experience matters. Before the law, I spent decades negotiating, managing people, solving problems under pressure, and developing the kind of common-sense judgment you can’t learn from a casebook. That background gives me a practical edge in the courtroom and in negotiations.
PERSONAL
I’m a native Texan, born in Dallas and raised in Plano. After graduating from Plano Senior High, I headed to Texas A&M in College Station and earned a degree in Business Management. My family still spends fall weekends at Kyle Field.
My husband, Rob, and I have been married more than twenty-seven years and raised two sons, Trey and Hunter. My mortgage career took us from Texas to Reno and then Salt Lake City before we came back home. Texas has always been where we belong.
How I Work
I believe in preparation, strategy, and putting in the hours. I’m direct with clients and unflinching in court. I don’t rush cases, and I don’t sugarcoat risk. Criminal charges, CPS involvement, and family litigation are stressful by nature, but you shouldn’t face them without a lawyer who knows the terrain and stands firm when the pressure hits.
If you need an attorney who will fight hard, stay focused, and take your case personally, that’s what I do every day.
